The nightly charge is $149 plus a one-time cleaning fee of $50, Discounts are available for multi-night stays; please contact us for more information. What you don't get is a TV and a library of DVDs. What you do get is a haven away from the daily grind and a great atmosphere for contemplation and restoration. The cottage has one queen size bed and a loveseat that opens into a twin bed. Light cooking can be done with a small convection/toaster oven, and a countertop induction cooking burner. A refrigerator, pots and pans, dishes and utensils, coffee maker and tea kettle are all supplied, as well as towels and bedding. We are not a B&B so breakfast is guests' responsibility. Guests at the cottage have full access to the Sanctuary's special features. This includes the labyrinth, the stone circle, a network of trails, and a saltwater hot tub located just steps away with a view of Mount Hood on a clear day. Previous guests have used the cottage and the property as a meditation retreat and a place to decompress. Some are writers who have used the cottage as a place to work without distraction. Many have also taken advantage of Leanne Gerrard's energy healing sessions, which are available at a discount for cottage guests. Reservations are required so please contact us to inquire about availability. The cottage and grounds are non-smoking in entirety and guests are required to respect this policy throughout their stay. While Bear Den Cottage has its own private patio and view of Mount Hood, it is also located next door to the main house. Steve and Leanne Gerrard, your hosts, are not nosy but are usually onsite and available should guests need help with anything. |
